Thrivent Builds in Newburgh Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is working in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is partnering with Habitat for Humanity contributing 70% of the cost of building a house. The Thrivent chapter needs to raise 10% of the cost and the Newburgh Habitat affiliate needs to raise 20%. 50% of the volunteer hours need to be provided by Lutherans and 25 % by Thrivent members, either beneficial or associate. The project involves the demolition and building of a house at 58 Henry Ave. in Newburgh, NY. Needed are volunteers who are skilled in framing, sheetrock and roofing. Licensed plumbers and electricians as well.
