St. John 10 – (Jesus said,) “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life.”
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Warwick, New York, is a Christ-Centered Community of Faith, Reaching Out In His Love.
Good Shepherd’s life and mission centers around GOD’S WORD (Holy Scripture) and the SACRAMENTS (Holy Baptism and Holy Communion).
Our fellowship is convicted by God’s Word that salvation is solely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 3: 21-24, 27-28 – “But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.”
