THE BOARD OF SOCIAL MINISTRY with its Chairperson has the objective to coordinate Good Shepherd’s service toward the physical, tangible, and social
wellbeing of people, within and outside our fellowship, locally, nationally and worldwide. In partnership with Good Shepherd’s other Administrative Boards, the Board of
Social Ministry seeks to address the needs of the “whole person”, acting as a bridge between individuals and families, the community of faith and local resources and/or
appropriate agencies.
(James 2:14-17) “My friends, what good is it to say you have faith, when you don't do anything to show that you really do have faith? Can
that kind of faith save you?
If you know someone who doesn't have any clothes or food, you shouldn't just say, "I hope all goes well for you. I hope you will be warm and have plenty to eat."
What good is it to say this, unless you do something to help?
Faith that doesn't lead us to do good deeds is all alone and dead!”
CHAIRPERSONS: Ms. Barbara Johnson/845-986-6453 & Ms. Betty LeMay/845-986-3468
